Exporting animations
Lumetrope exports dotLottie and Lottie JSON, plus animated GIF, WebP and WebM with transparency. Open the export dialog with Cmd/Ctrl+E.
Which format should I choose?
| Format | Best for | Transparency |
|---|---|---|
| dotLottie | Everything, including state machines and themes | Yes |
| Lottie JSON | Players that want plain JSON | Yes |
| GIF | Universal, small colour range | Transparent palette index |
| WebP | High quality, lossless | Full alpha channel |
| WebM | Small video | VP9/VP8 alpha stream |
How does transparency work?
GIF uses a transparent palette index; soft edges blend into an edge-matte colour you choose. WebP is lossless with a full alpha channel. WebM has an alpha stream. Or flatten onto a background colour instead.
What options can I set?
Size, frame rate, and a segment or the whole animation.
Why is WebM disabled?
WebM uses your webview's WebCodecs encoder and needs https. If missing, the dialog says why. See Troubleshooting.
