Themes and slots

Slots mark values in an animation, such as a colour, that can be replaced at runtime. Themes are named sets of slot values. Lumetrope exports them to the dotLottie t/ folder.

What is a slot?

A slot is a named value on a property. Players can override it without changing the animation itself.

What is a theme?

A theme sets values for slots, so one file can ship with a light and dark look, or brand variants.

How are they exported?

Export as dotLottie to keep state machines and themes. Plain Lottie JSON cannot carry them. See Exporting.
